Walk/Run with Lifestyle Medicine Physicians in the Spring Into Health 5K

 Our “healthcare“ system in America has been long criticized for its lack of emphasis on preventing chronic disease through lifestyle interventions and focusing efforts on pills and procedures. This relates to the current reimbursement model.  Simply put, there is no money in healthy people and prevention of chronic disease. This model needs to change and the people must demand that change. 


 Science shows that a vast majority of chronic diseases are preventable and even reversible with lifestyle medicine. Despite the poor reimbursement, these dedicated physicians/APNs focus on lifestyle as the primary treatment for their patients and will be walking/running alongside Spring Into Health 5K participants and/or giving presentations after the race:
